The press service of the Ministry of Education, Science, Culture and Sports (MESCS) reported that Minister of Culture of Georgia Tinatin Rukhadze and the head of Armenia's MESCS, Zhanna Andreasyan, signed the document during Andreasyan's visit to Georgia.
This program provides for the exchange of information and specialists between the relevant institutions and organizations of both two countries. It also promotes cooperation in various cultural fields such as literature, theater, cinematography, music, fine arts, museums, libraries, publishing, monuments and the preservation of intangible cultural heritage. Additionally, the program encourages cultural events with mutual participation, including music, film, dance and theater festivals, competitions and master classes.
During the meeting, the parties considered the possibility of hosting Armenian Culture Days in Georgia in 2026. Zhanna Andreasyan emphasized the significance of the upcoming opening of the Vahan Teryan House-Museum in the village of Gandza on July 12, noting that joint participation in the opening ceremony would strengthen Armenian-Georgian cultural ties.
Considering the priorities of both countries, the parties agreed to cooperate on issues within the jurisdiction of UNESCO and other international organizations. They also agreed to work together, within the framework of the Creative Europe program, as well as other programs funded by the European Union and the Council of Europe. It was reported that during the visit, Zhanna Andreasyan also toured the National Museum of Georgia.
