ArmInfo. The events of the last weeks should finally convince everyone that serious changes in the country cannot be achieved in one day, with one rally, one march, one good slogan. This is what member of the Alternative Projects Group Vahe Hovhannisyan writes in his article.
According to him, a period of peace, periodic activation, euphoria from the results of surveys will not solve the problem facing society. "It's not that Nikol Pashinyan (RA Prime Minister - ed.) is always one step ahead, but that his opponents are always one step behind. It's time to gather courage and admit that the main reason for the extinction of fairly strong, mass movements that were gaining strength one after another was the lack of political and programmatic content, the absence of modern management. Only a spontaneous uprising can put an end to everything in one day. Remember how many times dates were announced, like this day will come soon. And what happened?" - the political scientist asked.
In his opinion, it will not be possible to organize a fight against old ideas about the situation and ask the question of what to do.
The atmosphere in the country is changing before our eyes. In all social strata of society, there is a widespread rejection of the actions of a narrow group in power.
"The environment around us is also changing. New systems, methods of struggle, new content, programmatic thinking and new management are needed, which will serve the wave of change. In the new conditions, a new social and institutional formula must operate: zero contact with this narrow group. Zero contact means no questions, no expectations of an answer, no contact, no proposals. Encourage the crystallization of a narrow group. In the changing atmosphere, individual positions should be encouraged. This applies primarily to those who are "not in politics", to writers, to conformists and others. Today, facelessness is no longer understandable. Everyone has a choice. This applies to all who serve the ugliness of power. Mandelstam has brilliant lines that are very eloquent now. "Around him is a bunch of narrow- minded leaders, He plays on the services of others." "A narrow group" and "broad power" are different things. We need to create an atmosphere of choice, opportunities for public activists to participate in processes, acceptable, comfortable formats, working conditions and opportunities for people. All activists must feel needed, and there are thousands of them. This is one of the most important tasks. We need to quickly create a serious system for the protection of human rights. Only brilliant lawyers and a few deputies will not be able to respond to a new wave of repression. The system for the protection of human rights is a system of low-profile activity that is not limited to responding only to lawlessness. There are issues of national importance, really very complex, around which, without formulating an alternative approach, an alternative version, it is impossible to ensure broad public consolidation and be perceived by the outside world as a potentially strong next government. The government, even the lowest quality, is politicized, whether it wants it or not, and, whether it wants it or not, is a partner-interlocutor for the outside world. When the rhetoric and content of the other side (various platforms) are apolitical, the government finds itself in an advantageous position. This systemic error must be corrected. There are very important questions that must be answered with political formulations: the Constitution, the peace treaty, communication routes, including through Syunik, foreign and regional relations, the Russia-Iran-West balance, etc. etc. These are issues that require a position and political thinking that must be presented to both the public and external partners. So that both the public and external players view the anti-government camp as a reliable partner, and not just a tool for regime change, a complete end to internal opposition tensions and internal struggle. Put aside all personal conflicts and interests," said Vahe Hovhannisyan.
