
ArmInfo. Today, on July 10, a meeting between RA Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan and Azerbaijani President Ilham Aliyev is scheduled to take place in Abu Dhabi, during which the peace process between the two countries is expected to be discussed.
Both leaders arrived in the UAE capital the day before, where they held meetings with the President of the United Arab Emirates Sheikh Mohammed bin Zayed Al Nahyan.
According to the press service of the RA government, issues on the bilateral cooperation agenda were discussed during the meeting of the head of the Armenian state with the UAE President. The parties emphasized the high level of mutual trust and broad opportunities for developing cooperation between the two countries in the economic, investment and humanitarian spheres.
Nikol Pashinyan emphasized the importance of continuous development and deepening of friendly relations between Armenia and the UAE, noting that bilateral cooperation has great potential in both the economic and investment and humanitarian spheres.
The UAE President warmly welcomed the RA Prime Minister, emphasizing that the Emirates highly value the partnership with Armenia and are ready to take joint steps to implement mutually beneficial initiatives.
The parties confirmed their mutual readiness to continue constructive dialogue and cooperation for the benefit of the well-being of the two peoples.
The RA Prime Minister and the UAE President exchanged views on the Armenian-Azerbaijani peace process and the RA government's "Crossroads of Peace" project.
Sheikh Mohammed bin Zayed Al Nahyan welcomed the agreement reached on the draft peace agreement between Armenia and Azerbaijan and expressed hope for its early signing.
Nikol Pashinyan noted that Armenia highly values the role of the UAE in ensuring regional stability and international security.
Other issues of mutual interest were also discussed.
