ArmInfo. Official representative of the Russian Foreign Ministry Maria Zakharova has commented on information about Azerbaijan selling weapons to Ukraine.
During a weekly briefing on July 9, when asked to assess information that Azerbaijan supplied Ukraine with military products after February 2022, Zakharova noted that she could not rely on some Telegram channels that describe something there in Ukraine. She suggested speaking out on this issue in general.
According to her, Moscow's position is well known in the context of supplying arms to Ukraine, without reference to the name of the country, to any country at the state level or at the level of private business.
"Any information related to this topic, including reports, are thoroughly checked. If we are talking about countries with unfriendly regimes, that is one thing. But when we are talking about countries with which we have trusting dialogue and allied relations, of course, we raise this issue, discuss it, bring it to their attention, get explanations or refutations, or work to minimize this damage, which is damage not only to us, but to international and regional peace and stability," she said. According to her, "supplying weapons to regime in Kyiv is simply spoon-feeding terrorists, not only by giving them weapons that they resell, including those that continue to spread around the world in an unknown directions."
