ArmInfo. The Rescue Service of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Armenia discussed issues related to monitoring, prevention and rapid response to forest fire hazard situations. As reported by the press service of the Ministry of Internal Affairs, the meeting was attended by Deputy Minister of Environment Ara Mkrtchyan, Head of the Eco-Patrol Service of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of the Republic of Armenia Vladimir Kirakosyan, Director of the State Non-Commercial Organization "Hydrometeorology and Monitoring Center" Levon Azizyan.
According to the Head of the Eco-Patrol Service Vladimir Kirakosyan, at present it is extremely important to implement the functions of the Service in the direction of fire prevention and emergency response to emergency situations. The Service has taken on a leading role in the prevention of forest fires - from information to emergency response. "Our principle is not to wait until a fire breaks out, but to act in such a way that it does not happen at all," Kirakosyan said, adding that the service continues to strengthen cooperation with all partner organizations to ensure a more comprehensive warning and response system.
During the meeting, issues related to a detailed analysis and assessment of fire-hazardous areas in order to identify risk zones and develop preventive measures, assess the capabilities of the rapid response system, identify existing problems and develop effective solutions were discussed.
The importance of information and propaganda campaigns to increase public involvement in the fire prevention process, exploring the possibilities of expanding interdepartmental and public cooperation to ensure a comprehensive and coordinated response were also noted.
In his speech, the head of the Rescue Service of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of the Republic of Armenia Kamo Tsutsulyan emphasized the importance of the creation and official launch of the Syunik Regional Department of the Eco-Patrol Service for the environmental protection sphere for both the republic and the region. Tsutsulyan proposed organizing joint training events between the employees of the Eco-Patrol Service of the Syunik Regional Department and rescuers to improve their skills and strengthen interaction.
During the meeting, among other issues, issues related to improving events and planning communication mechanisms were discussed.
