No detainees from among ENA staff members - acting CEO

ArmInfo. The search at the Electric Networks of Armenia CJSC should be completed any minute. This was announced to journalists on July 9 by the company's acting general director David Kazinyan.

According to him, nothing reprehensible was found during the search,  and could not have been found, since there is nothing that could  interest law enforcement officers. The acting general director noted  that the search mainly took place in the office of the chairman of  the board of directors of the CJSC Narek Karapetyan. At the same  time, Kazinyan referred to the corresponding message from the  lawyers, adding that he was specifically prohibited from being  present during the investigative actions. At the moment, there are no  detainees among the network employees.

Early in the morning of July 8, law enforcement officers broke into  the head office of ESA, where they are conducting searches.  Previously, similar actions were carried out in the house of Narek  Karapetyan, who is the nephew of the president of the Tashir Group of  Companies Samvel Karapetyan. ESA is part of the GC.

The president of Tashir Group Samvel Karapetyan was detained on the  night of June 18 in Yerevan by Armenian law enforcement agencies  after he expressed support for the Armenian Apostolic Church. In  response to this, open threats followed from Prime Minister Nikol  Pashinyan, and then, at his suggestion, a bill was included in the  agenda of the National Assembly (today adopted by the parliament in  the first reading), which lays the foundation for the nationalization  of Electric Networks of Armenia CJSC (part of Tashir Group). Soon  after Karapetyan's detention, the Public Services Regulatory  Commission hastily convened and fined Electric Networks in the amount  of 10 million drams for the recorded technical and commercial  violations.

At the same time, the Food Safety Inspectorate of Armenia conducted  inspections at 30 points of the Pizza Tashir LLC cafes, "based on a  relevant request." In some of them, "gross violations of sanitary and  hygienic standards established by legal acts were identified" and  production activities were suspended.
