According to Alen Simonyan, Speaker of the RA NA,  referring to the audio recordings in the possession of the investigative body in the case of the terrorist act and usurpation of power, claims that philanthropist and head of the CG <Tashir> Samvel Karapetyan was supposed to join the supporters of  the <Sacred Struggle> movement at some stage. 

On July 4, in a conversation with journalists, when asked  if  Karapetyan is a political prisoner, he stated that the actions  attributed to businessman and philanthropist Samvel Karapetyan have  anything to do with politics.According to him, Samvel Karapetyan has  no right to paticipate in political activity, as he is not a citizen  of the Republic of Armenia, and <cannot even be an ordinary deputy>.

<As for the well-known audio recording (most likely recordings within  the framework of the indictment against members of the <Sacred  Struggle> movement in the case of a terrorist attack and usurpation  of power - ed.), according to the recording from February 18, 2025,  <Tashir Samvel> was supposed to join later, as mentioned by Bagrat  Galstanyan. And it turns out that months later, he comes and says - I  will do it my way>,  Simonyan said.
