ArmInfo. During an extraordinary session of the parliament, where the issue of the NA's consent to the criminal prosecution of Seyran Ohanyan and Artsvik Minasyan is being discussed, Taguhi Tovmasyan brought up the topic of mansions owned by persons affiliated with the ruling party. Recall that Seyran Ohanyan is facing charges related to the illegal privatization of land in Sevan National Park, and the construction of a mansion on it, and Artsvik Minasyan is being accused of assisting in this matter.
Meanwhile, Tovmasyan, showed a photo of the mansion owned by Arman Hakobjanyan, Chairman of the Board of Directors of Kapavor LLC. She asked why the RA Prosecutor General Anna Vardapetyan hadn't pursued criminal prosecution against him, as the mansion was also built on the territory of Sevan National Park. "Perhaps you haven't receive "that" SMS, and there is no political expediency in punishing Civil Contract's favorite businessman. And now you come and say that Artsvik Minasyan had not prevent illegal construction. But who will destroy this (the deputy shows a photo of the mansion)?" Tovmasyan asked, recalling that Arman Hakobjanyan's mansion was built under the current authorities, when Erik Grigoryan was the Minister of Environment, and Gnel Sanosyan was the governor.
In response, Prosecutor General Anna Vardapetyan noted that, in addition to Hakobjanyan's mansion, the prosecutor's office also received information indicating that the land owned by Sasun Mikaelyan, a board member of the ruling Civil Contract party, was unlawfully appropriated in the same village of Drakhtik.
