ArmInfo. Artsakh art historians have no legal issues in in Armenia, difficulties exist only in the practical field, as stated by former Artsakh Ombudsman Gegham Stepanyan during the conference <Problems of Art Critics: Causes and Solutions> on July 4.
Specifically, he noted that while studying the sphere of protection of the rights of art historians, it became known that there are enough projects initiated by various international organizations aimed at assisting forcibly displaced Artsakh art historians to continue their creative work. However, according to Stepanyan, they are not properly informed about them. <It is necessary to create a platform where all information about the possibilities of international programs will be collected>, he noted. The former ombudsman pointed out that art historians in Artsakh were carrying out their activities with state support. In Armenia, however, such conditions don't exist, significantly limiting their opportunities. In this vein, Stepanyan emphasized the importance of teach art historians how to work with grant programs and how to write project-proposals.
