ArmInfo. All conversations and videos involving the leader of the "Sacred Struggle" movement, Archbishop Bagrat Galstanyan, are manipulative, as stated by Ishkhan Saghatelyan, deputy from the opposition faction "Armenia"in the National Assembly of Armenia, during a conversation with journalists on July 4.
According to him, there is no need to talk about any acts of terrorism in relation to the archbishop. In this matter, the authorities are trying to convince the public of the reality of such events, but eventually, it will be revealed that nothing of the sort occurred.
Saghatelyan recalled that earlier, as part of the protest movement, opposition representatives had blocked roads to prevent officials and responsible persons from leaving the country. At that time, roads were closed in four directions. Ishkhan Saghatelyan, when discussing the arrest of Archbishop Bagrat and the famous recordings, said that all of this is a show, and those who are "fabricating" a case against the archbishop will eventually answer for it. "All those responsible for all these outrages will be held accountable. For four years, we have been on the streets, there have been many movements involving tens of thousands of people, carrying out various acts of disobedience, we have not damaged a single car mirror, while this government has fired upon the people several times. Only in the June events of last year, about 200 people were injured. Can you tell me, how many cars were burned and how many buildings were broken in the span of four years? Everything we did was legal. The authorities used excessive force," the deputy said, noting that all the accusations against the archbishop are fabricated to compromise the clergy and the Armenian Apostolic Church.
The deputy emphasized that he holds meetings with citizens almost every day to discuss the possibilities of organizing resistance groups. However, this does not mean that it's about organizing terrorist groups.
