Current authorities` actions in  the energy sector demonstrate a consistent and systematic anti-national strategy: David Ananyan

ArmInfo. The actions of the current Armenian government towards Electric Networks of Armenia CJSC are aimed at the final destruction of Armenia's energy independence. This assessment was made by David Ananyan, former Chairman of the RA State Revenue Committee.

The actions of the current authorities, along with the possible  takeover of ENA, its potential further sale and the trajectory  towards the closure of the Metsamor NPP, demonstrate a consistent and  systematic anti- national strategy aimed at the final destruction of  Armenia's energy independence.  Closing the NPP without a clear  replacement project and long-term strategy is just as dangerous as  the transfer of vital infrastructure to external forces with hostile  intentions.  "This government doesn't see Armenia's energy system  as  the backbone of national security, but rather as property to be sold.  This is not just criminal negligence; it is deliberate and planned  treason," he wrote on his social media account.
