Electric Networks nationalization project  is unconstitutional:  Lawyer

ArmInfo. Legislative amendments to the nationalization project of the Electric Networks of Armenia CJSC, adopted by the RA Parliament in the first reading, are an interference in the property rights of businessman Samvel Karapetyan  and his family, as stated by lawyer Aram Vardevanyan during a press  conference on July 2.

"It is absurd when a person is arrested in order to seize his  property. In legal terms, this is comparable to a situation where if  you had a car, you would drive it. Whether good or bad, is a subject  for another discussion. The patrolman stops your car and tells you  that from now on he will drive it or he will find someone else to  become a driver. This project is about this," Vardevanyan noted. The  lawyer believes that the project is clearly unconstitutional. He  emphasizes that even the regulator, represented by the KROU, not only  did not find any significant shortcomings in the work of the ESA, but  also considered the company's activities to be positive. The  achievements of the managers of Elnets are also evident in the fact  that in previous years the company made significant investments and  almost did not raise the electricity tariff. Meanwhile, another  important structure in the sector, "High-voltage electric networks"  with state management   "is a different story," Aram Vardevanyan  concluded.
