ArmInfo. The age limit for admission to the Police will be abolished in Armenia. The National Assembly of the Republic of Armenia, at an extraordinary session on July 2, introduced amendments to the laws "On Police Service" and "On Rescue Service" in the first reading.
As Deputy Minister of Internal Affairs of the Republic of Armenia Armen Mkrtchyan noted in his speech, the Ministry of Internal Affairs proposes to abolish the age limit of up to 35 years. The main thing in this matter is the education and preparedness of the applicant. At the same time, an employee appointed to a police position for the first time will undergo certification not six months after appointment to the position, but two months later. In addition, the bill creates a legal basis for replenishing the municipal police. Thus, bachelors who have undergone appropriate training will be considered to have passed the certification, which will allow them to receive a salary of 500 thousand drams.
As for the Law "On the Rescue Service", it is envisaged that its employees will undergo refresher courses every year, and not every five years.
