ArmInfo. The first session of consultations on security and defense between Armenia and the European Union was held on June 30. The meeting agenda covered a wide range of issues.
As reported by the press service of the Armenian Foreign Ministry, the consultations involved discussions on enhancing cooperation between Armenia and the European Union in the field of security and defense. Additionally, there was an exchange of views on current regional issues.
The parties discussed the potential for further cooperation within the European Union's crisis management operations, the activities of the EU Monitoring Mission in Armenia, the opportunities for continued cooperation between the parties through the European Peace Facility, potential partnerships between the European Security and Defense College and relevant educational institutions in Armenia and other mutual interests. Reference was made to security sector reforms, opportunities for implementing joint programs in combating hybrid threats and disinformation.
