ARF  Central Committee in Western Europe calls Macron`s stance on the  situation in Armenia unacceptable

ArmInfo.The content of the telephone conversation between French President Emmanuel Macron and  Armenian Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan is deemed incomprehensible and unacceptable and deserves condemnation, as noted in a statement received by ArmInfo from the  ARF Central Committee in Western  Europe.  The community organization has emphasized that the mutual message cannot be included in the classical logic of French politics.

"First of all, how can you express full support to a person who  voluntarily surrendered Artsakh to the enemy, ceded 800 hectares of  land to the same enemy,  deliberately sent 5,000 young people to  their deaths and, ultimately, is a pioneer of capitulation? Mr.  President, would you then support Marshal Petain with the same logic?  We are sure, no.

Moreover, how can you support a person who declared war on the  Armenian Church and made the most vulgar statements against the  Catholicos of All Armenians? Would you provide the same support, for  example, to any such statement against the Pope or any such campaign  against the Catholic Church? We are sure, no," the ARF emphasized.  .   "Secondly, you are talking about achieving peace with Turkey and  Azerbaijan, you are  supporting the idea of opening the border, Mr.  President. However, what kind of peace are we talking about when only  unilateral and continuous concessions are made, when official Baku  still refers to Armenia as the so-called "Western Azerbaijan", and  Ankara is shaking its finger day after day, declaring that the 1915  Genocide has not yet become a lesson for Armenians:", the  organization further stated. The ARF also noted that if Macron's  stance stems is influenced by the anti-Russian and pan-European  position of Paris, which views opposition from the Armenian ruling  circle as pro-Russian, then it is misguided.
