ANC strongly condemns  security forces` attack on Holy Etchmiadzin

ArmInfo.The Armenian National Congress (ANC), led by the first President of Armenia Levon Ter-Petrosyan, strongly condemns the unprecedented attack carried out by the authorities of the Republic of Armenia on the residence of the Armenian Apostolic Church in Holy Etchmiadzin.

The Armenian National Congress calls for an immediate end to all  actions against the Armenian Apostolic Church, respect for the  Constitution of the Republic of Armenia and the independence of the  church. The ANC also called for refraining from any encroachment on  national shrines and spiritual values. The statement urges the  citizens of Armenia, the clergy and the international community to  unite in defense of the Armenian Apostolic Church and its holy  places.
