Diplomats: An open war  declared against our national identity

ArmInfo. The authorities' relentless and unbridled attacks in recent days are not only directed  against His Holiness the Patriarch or any clergyman, but are actually an open war against our national identity, unity and sacred places. They are an undisguised direct blow to the foundations of our statehood, as noted  in the statement of the Pan-Armenian Council of Diplomats.

<Today, the current leadership of Armenia has attempted to do what  our enemies have failed to do for centuries. Nevertheless, despite  the blatant actions of the authorities aimed at humiliating the  religious Armenian people and sparking a civil conflict, the  overwhelming majority of our people throughout the world  unequivocally support the Mother See of the Church and our spiritual  values.

<Reaffirming its unwavering support for the Armenian Apostolic Holy  Church, the Pan-Armenian Council of Diplomats calls on all national  and pro-state forces to urgently develop and implement a special  political toolkit that would ensure the unification of the people,  internal solidarity, constitutionalism in the country and  formation  of a new government. Now, more than ever, a high level of personal  responsibility is required from each of us. Silence is no longer  acceptable>, the statement of the diplomats, including those who had  resigned due to the anti-national policy of the current Armenian  authorities, reads.
