Armenia`s Human Rights Defender calls for public solidarity

ArmInfo.Human Rights Defender Anahit Manasyan monitors the information disseminated in the media and social networks and considers the situation in the Mother See of Holy Etchmiadzin alarming in terms of public solidarity.

State power is crucial in regulating public life, while the Armenian  Apostolic Church also plays a key role in ensuring the right to  freedom of conscience and religion for many citizens. The Human  Rights Defender emphasizes that maintaining public order and  upholding religious freedoms can only be achieved through public  solidarity.

Therefore, the Defender urges for utmost restraint in addressing  current issues, preserving values of mutual respect and the rule of  law, taking into account the key nature of public solidarity and  tolerance. Further escalation of the situation may lead to  irreversible consequences, and it is important for everyone to  consider this.
