Ararat Mirzoyan: Yerevan and Beijing can enhance their strategic  relations

ArmInfo.This visit and these negotiations are a good opportunity to become more understandable and  predictable partners for each other, as stated by the head of the Armenian MFA, Ararat Mirzoyan, during a meeting with the Minister of Foreign Affairs of China Wang Yi.

As reported by the press service of the Foreign Ministry of the  Republic of Armenia, in his welcoming remarks, Minister of Foreign  Affairs of China Wang noted that Beijing highly appreciates   Mirzoyan's active support and contribution to the strengthening of  relations between China and Armenia since taking office.

Regardless of the changes in the  international and regional landscape, we have consistently upheld  mutual respect, trust and mutually beneficial cooperation. Our cooperation in all areas has yielded positive results,  particularly after our countries became partners within the framework  of the "One Belt, One Road" initiative. Thanks to this initiative,  our cooperation, especially in  trade and economics, continues to  soar to new heights. China has become one of Armenia's key trading  partners. Last year, our trade turnover increased significantly, and  in the first four months of this year, the growth reached 58%,  a  rare indicator among Chinese partners indicating great potential for  further development in our collaboration. Chinese investments in your  country are also valued.

Several Chinese brands are widely distributed in Armenia, and famous  Armenian products enrich the daily lives of Chinese consumers. Our  humanitarian ties are also deepening: direct flights are now  available between our countries, and the visa-free policy is  fostering closer ties between our peoples. We are ready to strengthen  our friendship, enhance trust and expand collaboration together with  Armenia for the mutual development of our countries," Wang Yi noted.  In response, Ararat Mirzoyan expressed gratitude for the invitation.
