ArmInfo. The leader of the Sacred Struggle protest movement, Archbishop Bagrat Galstanyan, faces 12 to 15 years in prison. This information was shared with journalists on June 25 by lawyer Hovhannes Khudoyan.
He added that the defense plans to thoroughly review the materials presented by the prosecution. Another lawyer, Sergey Harutyunyan, described the situation as political persecution aimed at silencing the opposition. According to him, he had met with Galstanyan, who remained calm and displayed a sense of humor. Harutyunyan said that a motion would be filed within the next 24 hours to request the release of all those who have been detained, numbering more than a dozen.
