ArmInfo. The Mayor's office has presented an action plan for 2025-2028 as part of the Global Partnership Platform, of which Yerevan has been a member since May 2022.
During the Council of Elders meeting at the Yerevan City Hall on June 24, Advisor to the Mayor of Yerevan Anneta Babayan said that as a result of over 200 proposals gathered from citizens, 4 main areas of action were identified. They are quite ambitious and comprehensive in their content.
Specifically, she noted that these actions focus on the full implementation of participatory and program budgeting systems, which will enhance the transparency and accountability of the city authorities. The next areas to address will be the process of full-fledged digital transformation and the launch of the "Model Yerevan" project. No details about the latter project were provided at the meeting.
"We plan to complete all the work by 2028," the mayor's adviser emphasized. She also mentioned that over 70 countries and more than 100 local governments are members of the Global Partnership Platform. This platform is closely aligned with the UN Sustainable Development Goals (open governance, accountability, transparency, inclusiveness, institutional development and reform).
Note that the Yerevan Council of Elders approved the adoption of the presented action plan for 2025-2028 with 42 votes in favor, while 13 Council members abstained.
