The Permanent Representation of Armenia to the Council of Europe has organized an exhibition in the foyer of the Council of Europe building titled " Future of the Past: the Armenian National Dress", where copies of Armenian traditional garments created by the Teryan Cultural Center are presented.
As reported by the Permanent Representation of Armenia to the Council of Europe, the exhibition will be held from June 23 to 27, during the summer session of PACE.
"The purpose of the exhibition is to popularize one of the components of Armenian culture," the Armenian Permanent Representation reported.
The opening of the exhibition was marked by a welcoming speech from Alain Bersen, Secretary General of the Council of Europe and Armen Papikyan, Permanent Representative of Armenia to the Council of Europe. The exhibition was also attended by Theodoros Roussopoulos, PACE President, Matthew Morin, Secretary General of the Congress of Territorial and Regional Authorities of the Council of Europe, ambassadors from Council of Europe member states, diplomats and representatives from various Council of Europe bodies.
Visitors to the exhibition will have the opportunity to try on some national costumes and take photos at a specially designated photo booth on the exhibition grounds. The photo booth is covered with images of Armenian architectural monuments on three of its sides.
