ArmInfo. Yerevan notes the importance of intensifying relations with Brussels. This was stated on June 24 by Deputy Prime Minister of the Republic of Armenia Mher Grigoryan at the presentation of the Armenia-EU Civil Society Platform 2024 report.
Noting the importance of effectively implementing the Comprehensive and Enhanced Partnership Agreement (CEPA) between Armenia and the European Union, the Deputy Prime Minister emphasized that, compared to the previous meeting, new developments are being observed in relations. In particular, the process of visa liberalization, as enshrined in CEPA, has been launched. Currently, negotiations are underway on an action plan for visa liberalization. At the same time, work on forming a new agenda for relations between Armenia and the EU is nearing completion.
The Deputy Prime Minister also noted that, together with European partners, the implementation of measures aimed at increasing the country's resilience and the structure of the growth plan is ongoing. Within the framework of CEPA, the reform process will continue with opportunities for the involvement of civil society representatives in them. The aim of this task is to involve in this work those specialists who are available within the academic and business circles of the EU and Armenia.
