ArmInfo. Azerbaijan is maliciously misleading the Organization of Islamic Cooperation (OIC). This is stated in the statement of the Central Council of "Hay Dat" of the ARF Bureau.
"Hay Dat" recalled that the unique part of the Armenian diaspora living in various countries of the Middle East knows from their own experience about the possibility of peaceful coexistence of Christian and Muslim peoples.
The statement emphasizes that based on the above, Azerbaijan's policy aimed at inciting interreligious hatred and the attempts of the international community to pay tribute to them are absolutely unacceptable.
"At a time of global events, when international law is being trampled upon by big and small powers, we expect the Organization of Islamic Cooperation, which professes loyalty to the principles of the UN Charter and international law, "high Islamic values of peace, mercy, tolerance, equality, justice and human dignity," to take a position consistent with these principles," the statement of "Ay Dat" reads. Earlier, the OIC issued a statement promoting pro-Azerbaijani narratives and expressing support for Azerbaijan's territorial claims against Armenia.
