ADM Diamonds responds to a report of diamond smuggling from Russia

ArmInfo. In response to  media reports alleging that diamonds stolen from Russia were delivered to  ADM Diamonds LLC,  a company owned by Armenian businessman and National Assembly member Khachatur Sukiasyan, the company has issued an official statement.

"This news is completely false, baseless and not supported by any  evidence. First of all, the only official founder and owner of the  company "ADM Diamonds" is the Armenian businessman Artak Baghikyan.  The company has never had and does not have any connection with the  member of the National Assembly Khachatur Sukiasyan. Sukiasyan is not  and has never been a beneficiary or a shareholder of the company.   Moreover, the materials indicate that the company "ADM Diamonds"  belongs to the Bagikyan brothers.  We would like to inform you that  as of 2022, only Artak Baghikyan is the sole shareholder and owner of  the company"  the message says. The statement also emphasizes that  ADM Diamonds did not receive any stolen raw materials. "Moreover, we  do not receive raw materials from the Russian Federation. ADM  Diamonds purchases raw materials for diamond processing in the UAE  and Hong Kong, following all legal all legal procedures and  documents. There is ample evidence to support this. Our company has  never cooperated with illegal and criminal groups. Honesty and  fairness in our work have been  fundamental values and principles for  us since the inception of our business. This has been, is, and will  continue to be the case.

We present the message of Artak Baghikyan, the founding director of  ADM Diamonds: "From the very beginning, since the day ADM Diamonds  company was established, there have been attempts to link us with  political groups and individuals. Once again, I officially declare  that we have no political affiliation with any entity, person, party  or group. We do not receive any political support and are not  associated with any political party. We are a business with our own  set of values and principles. All these types of false rumors disrupt  our normal operations and lead to unnecessary speculation. Therefore,  first of all, we ourselves are interested in solving this issue, and  we ourselves will strive for it to happen as soon as possible. Our  reputation and credibility have been built on hard and honest work.  Today, we are the only large diamond company in Armenia that  advocates for preserving diamond processing traditions and developing  this important economic direction in our country. 

We are trying to maintain production despite various difficulties and  crises, and we understand its importance for small countries like  Armenia. Our business operates on fair and honest principles, we have  always stayed out of politics. In these tense days, political  speculation directly undermines our authority and the good reputation   we have earned over the years. We urge you to refrain from spreading  false and unfounded information, unnecessary speculation around our  name and malicious attempts to damage our reputation. Moving forward,  if such false and unfounded news is spread, we will take exclusively  legal actions to address the issue and present the truth to the  public in accordance with all laws and norms of justice."
