Amir Naderi to head Regional Competition Jury of Golden Apricot  International Film Festival

ArmInfo.  A pioneer of post-revolutionary Iranian cinema and a representative of the  so-called "Second Wave", Iranian director, screenwriter, and  photographer Amir Naderi will head the Regional Competition Program  jury as an honorary guest at the 22nd Golden Apricot International  Film Festival.

As ArmInfo was informed by the press service of the festival, Naderi  is an associate of the legendary Bahram Beyzai (Iranian playwright,  director, screenwriter), an art critic whose works are exhibited at  the Museum of Modern Art MoMA (New York).

His films have inspired both Iranian (Jafar Panahi, Bahman Ghobadi)  and American (Sean Baker, Kelly Reichardt) directors. Naderi was  among the first to pave the way for the global recognition of Iranian  cinema.
