ArmInfo. Armenian Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan is expecting Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan to visit Armenia in the spring of 2026. He announced this at a meeting with the Armenian community of Istanbul.
During the meeting, which took place before the talks between the leaders of the two countries, Pashinyan announced his intention to thank Erdogan for the invitation to visit the country.
The Armenian prime minister also announced his intention to invite Erdogan to Yerevan to participate in the summit of the European Political Community, which will be held next spring in Yerevan. Pashinyan added that the summit will be held in Yerevan, including with the support of Turkey.
However, he found it difficult to name the date of the summit, noting that it has not yet been agreed upon.
"I hope that next year our meeting will take place in Armenia," Pashinyan added. Speaking about bilateral relations, the head of the Armenian government expressed confidence that the normalization of relations between Armenia and Turkey is a matter of time and requires consistency, active work and dialogue from the parties. He also added that there is no need to have inflated expectations from this visit.
