ArmInfo. At the meeting on June 20, the Armenian government approved a program to support vulnerable families by performing paid community service by their members.
As Deputy Minister of Labor and Social Affairs of the Republic of Armenia Anna Zhamakochyan noted in her speech, the program is aimed at providing assistance to families recognized as socially vulnerable.
According to the project, program participants, under the management of state structures and local self- determination bodies, will be able to take part in unskilled work during the repair of schools, kindergartens, medical institutions, roads, and playgrounds. They will also have the opportunity to provide paid care for single pensioners. Each beneficiary of the program will be able to participate in it for up to 12 months, receiving 3.5 thousand drams daily. The funds will be provided from the state budget of the country.
