Investigative Committee: Samvel Karapetyan publicly called for the  seizure of power

ArmInfo. During an interview with the media, Samvel Karapetyan has publicly called for the seizure of power and the exercise of powers of the RA Government in a manner not provided for by the RA Constitution (Article 422 of the RA Criminal Code), as stated in the response of the Investigative Committee to CivilNet's inquiry.

<On June 18, 2025, a petition was filed with the prosecutor  supervising the legality of criminal proceedings to initiate a public  criminal prosecution. On the same day, a decision was made to  initiate a public criminal prosecution against S.K. according to  Article 422, Part 2 of  the RA Criminal Code>,  the response says.  A  petition was submitted to the court requesting the imposition of a  preventive measure in the form of detention for Samvel Karapetyan.
