ArmInfo. The words of Russian journalist Vladimir Solovyov that the Armenian authorities are exerting unprecedented pressure on the president of the Association of Armenian Entrepreneurs, the head of the Tashir Group of Companies, the famous Armenian-Russian entrepreneur Samvel Karapetyan, caused a nervous reaction in the speaker of the Armenian parliament Alen Simonyan.
Yesterday, Solovyov expressed support for Samvel Karapetyan on the Russian TV channel "Russia". He noted that his friend is being subjected to absolutely unprecedented pressure from "a corrupt, vile, insignificant government that betrayed the history of Armenia, that surrendered Artsakh, that betrayed everything sacred that was in the history of the Armenian people."
He accused the Armenian authorities of attacking the Armenian Church, destroying the coat of arms of Armenia, betraying the memory of the most terrible tragedy in the history of the Armenian people, giving away Artsakh, where Armenians lived before they appeared in Yerevan.
"Do the people of Armenia still take any part in the fate of Armenia? Or will the same fate that befell Artsakh soon befall them?", Solovyov asked.
In response to this, Simoyan accused the journalist of interfering in Armenia's internal affairs in his Telegram channel. "Does this television freak think that he has the right to call the country's leader vile words, to call the people of Armenia to political action against the legally elected government, to play on feelings, to carry all this cheap nonsense, wrapping it in pathetic acting - and at the same time to hope that it is enough to simply say: "This is not interference in internal affairs," and that's it?
This is direct interference in the internal affairs of the Republic of Armenia, the deliberate spread of hatred and insults against its leadership and people," he wrote.
At the same time, Simonyan is confident that such antics on the state television channel cause serious damage to relations between our countries, and only cause deep disgust among the population of Armenia.
"I hope that my Russian colleagues, with whom we have discussed similar incidents more than once, will react - and the Armenian society will hear a clear apology on the same channel, in the same pompous "artistic" manner," the legislator concluded.
Late at night, the police detained Samvel Karapetyan. The reason for this was his words in support of the Armenian Apostolic Church, which is being attacked by the authorities. At the moment, it is not known what Karapetyan is accused of
