ArmInfo. Kapan will host the International Music Festival Kapan Fest-2025 for the third time, which will bring together world-famous musicians from Armenia and around the world on one platform from July 4 to 15.
The program of performances, which will take place in the Organ Hall of Kapan State College of Arts, will feature such famous musicians as Marian Petrescu (Romania), Arturo Solar (Spain), Teodosia Ntokou (Greece), Francesco Villa (Italy), Dong Hyuk Lim (Korea), Lida Chen Argerich (Argentina) and others. For the first time, Electronica music will be presented at the festival through a performance of the famous multi-instrumentalist Philipp Johann Thimm.
This year, the festival will once again feature an exhibition of the 18th century string instruments, including Stradivarius and Guarneri del Geso violins, curated by renown violinist Florian Leonhard from London. The Kapan Fest program, also include master classes for more than 50 young musicians from across Armenia, Denmark, Slovakia, and Portugal and local music students. The festival was supported by the Kapan Municipality, the Zangezur Copper-Molybdenum Combine, the Ministry of Education, Science, Culture and Sports of the Republic of Armenia, AGBU France, the EU Delegation to Armenia, the Embassies of the Kingdom of Belgium, Switzerland and Argentina in Armenia, the Goethe Institute, etc.
