ArmInfo. On June 16, Prosecutor General Anna Vardapetyan received Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Kingdom of the Netherlands to the Republic of Armenia Marieke Harriet Monroy-Winter.
As reported by the press service of the supervisory body, during the meeting, Anna Vardapetyan highly appreciated the effectiveness of the training courses implemented with the embassy's support. On November 16, 2024, the Prosecutor General's Office, in partnership with the Embassy, launched the second stage of the training course titled "Communication in the Courtroom" focusing on "Conflict and Stress Management" for all prosecutors in the Republic of Armenia. (the first stage of the course was held from November 2023 to April 2024). 380 prosecutors participated in the 13-week, two-day course, attending lectures and engaging in practical classes.
The Prosecutor General also emphasized the importance of the two-day training on "Prevention of Domestic Violence, Criminal Prosecution and Current Directions of Judicial-Legal Response", which was organized with the support of the Embassy for about 50 prosecutors.
Anna Vardapetyan highlighted the significance of informal education and announced that in the coming days, the official opening of a structural unit of Yerevan State University - the YSU Law Laboratory will take place in the building of the Prosecutor General's Office. The laboratory, will host discussions on current legal issues, practical work, seminars, conferences, as conduct research on legal matters involving prosecutors, prosecutor candidates, lawyers from the diaspora.
The Kingdom of the Netherlands thanked Anna Vardapetyan for the effective interaction established and reaffirmed its readiness to enhance cooperation in various educational areas.
