Former Prime Minister of Armenia placed under house arrest by court  decision

ArmInfo. Criminal prosecution has been instituted against former Prime Minister of Armenia Hovik Abrahamyan, on charges of abuse of office and legalization of  property of alleged illegal origin (land plots). A motion has been  submitted to the court to elect a preventive measure in the form of  detention. Yerem Sargsyan, Hovik Abrahamyan's lawyer, shared this  information on his Facebook page. 

In this regard, the lawyer stated that the motion for detention based  on evidence obtained in 2018-2019 is absolutely illegal. he said.
