In this regard, the expert highlighted several key events. He noted  that at a distance of approximately 70 km from Yerevan, in  Nakhichevan, from today until June 30, Turkey has deployed troops as  part of two joint exercises with Azerbaijan. At the same time, as  Geghamyan emphasized, over the past two to three months, Azerbaijan  has been supplying significant amounts of weapons and armaments to  Nakhichevan almost every week.

"Meanwhile, three weeks ago, high-ranking officials of Russia and the  United States, including the Ministry of Defense and the Ministry of  Foreign Affairs, almost simultaneously stated the high probability of  a military clash in the Syunik region, that is, in the border zone of  Iran," the Turkologist added.

In addition, the expert drew attention to the crisis in the US-Iran  negotiations. "Almost all countries operating in our region note that  a pre-war situation is developing around Iran, and the US has begun  evacuating the families of its diplomats and military personnel from  Iraq," Geghamyan noted.

In conclusion, he recalled the regular shelling from Azerbaijan on  Armenian positions in Syunik in recent weeks. Summing up all these  events, Geghamyan said that the situation is a crisis and there is a  high probability of a military clash. Syunik, according to him, is  the main target, and from different directions.

"Now pay attention to how the de facto ruling group in Armenia is  distracting society's attention from these serious threats in a  crisis. The world is preparing for war, and in Armenia it is only  Thursday, when society and national institutions become the target,  and not external threats," the expert concluded.

The border villages of the Syunik region are periodically shelled by  Azerbaijan. Meanwhile, the Armenian Ministry of Defense is only  calling on the Azerbaijani side to investigate the facts of the  shelling, without taking any other actions.
