"We express our deep condolences to the families and friends of those killed in the explosion of a residential building in the city of Chambarak. We wish a speedy recovery to the injured," the embassy said in a statement.
On June 11, at about 8 a.m., a gas explosion occurred in one of the buildings on Tigran Mets Street in Chambarak, resulting in a collapse. Apartments on the 4th, 3rd and 2nd floors collapsed. Apartments in the neighboring entrance partially collapsed. 5 citizens were killed - Roza Vardanyan (born in 1937), Rita Sargsyan (born in 1949), Roza Movsisyan (born in 1935), Hrachya Lazaryan (born in 1963), Artur Sargsyan (born in 1972), 11 people were injured, three of whom were taken to Yerevan hospitals.
