ArmInfo. Shots fired from Azerbaijani positions towards residential areass in the Syunik region will not scare the local population, as stated by the Governor of the Syunik region, Robert Ghukasyan, in a conversation with journalists on June 11.
"I refute the rumors that people are seeking to leave Syunik because of the gunfire," the governor assured. He also denied the information that Azerbaijani armed forces took two minors from the Tegh community to an unknown location, emphasizing that these claims are not true. In fact, according to the governor, both boys had simply gotten lost and safely returned home after waiting for darkness to clear. Addressing the National Security Service's (NSS) statements about the boy's return, Ghukasyan noted that the initial information was later refuted. "There was no communication in the area where the boys were found. The NSS does not carry out service in this area. That day, the residents were spreading various information, which ultimately turned out to be just a hypothesis," the Governor of Syunik concluded.
