ArmInfo. NATO doesn't bring anything good to the countries of the South Caucasus, as stated by Maria Zakharova, the spokesperson of the Russian Foreign Ministry, at  a weekly briefing on June 11, answering a question about the  intensification of relations between Azerbaijan and the North  Atlantic Alliance.

On the contrary, as the diplomat noted, the main objective of   Western countries is to destabilize the region, pit it against each  other, and create new hotbeds of tension. "We hope that both Baku and  Yerevan equally understand our concerns on this matter, and fully  assess the risks of deepening cooperation with aggressive military  blocs,"  Maria Zakharova said.
