Armenia`s vocational training schools record 11.4% increase in number  of students last year 

ArmInfo. In 2024, every third 9th grade graduate applied for admission to vocational education institutions. This was reported in Parliament on June 10 by the  Minister of Education, Science, Culture and Sports of Armenia Zhanna  Andreasyan.

In this regard, she recalled the introduction of a mandatory  requirement within the framework of the new educational standard to  attend career-oriented clubs from the 8th grade, so that the child  can decide on a specialty and his further education is targeted.

In particular, Andreasyan reported that in 2024, the growth of  applications for admission to vocational education institutions  (colleges, schools) was recorded at the level of 11.4%. In total, 45  thousand students are currently receiving education in these  institutions. , - said the minister
