ArmInfo. If we want to stop the process of losing our state, we must take some steps, as stated by former Vice Speaker of the Armenian Parliament and RPA member Eduard Sharmazanov in a conversation with journalists, touching upon the impeachment process against Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan.
Sharmazanov pointed out that impeachment is currently one of two ways to remove the current prime minister. According to him, another option could be waiting for elections, but he believes it would be inappropriate to delay, as Pashinyan may have time to cause even greater harm to the state during this year. When discussing the proposed candidate for impeachment, the RPA member urged to focus on the process rather than individuals. He highlighted that that according to the Constitution of Armenia, a candidate is required to initiate the impeachment process, which is why the "I Have Honor" faction nominated David Hambardzumyan (head of the Masis community in the Ararat region and a member of the RPA Council - ed.). Sharmazanov also admitted that this choice had initially sparked doubts among the opposition, but he expressed confidence that the process has been set in motion, a candidate has been chosen, and impeachment is now on the agenda.
