Armenia reaffirms its commitment to holding an effective COP-17  conference

ArmInfo. On June 9, within the framework of the 3rd UN Ocean Conference held in Nice, Robert  Abisoghomonyan, Deputy Foreign Minister of the Republic of Armenia, met with Parliamentary State Secretary of the Federal Ministry for the Environment, Nature Conservation and Nuclear Safety of Germany  Rita Schwarzeluhr-Sutter. The meeting was also attended by Hambardzum Matevosyan, Chief Advisor to the Prime Minister of the Republic of Armenia and Chairman of the COP-17 Organizing Committee.

The meeting discussed the preparatory work for the 17th Conference of  the Parties to the UN Convention on Biological Diversity (COP-17), to  be held in Armenia in 2026.  The Armenian side reaffirmed Armenia's  commitment to holding an effective and inclusive conference that  ensures the active and meaningful involvement of all stakeholders.
