Federation Assembly delegation led by Valentina Matviyenko arrives in  Armenia

ArmInfo. A delegation of the Federation Assembly led by Valentina Matviyenko, Chairperson of the Federation Assembly,  has arrived in  Armenia on an official visit, as reported by the press service of the RF Federation Council.

The source notes that the program includes meetings of Valentina  Matviyenko with the country's leadership. Particularly, a  conversation with the Chairman of the National Assembly, Alen  Simonyan, is planned. Valentina Matviyenko and Alen Simonyan will  also open the 39th meeting of the Interparliamentary Commission on  Cooperation of the Federal Assembly of the Russian Federation and the  National Assembly of the Republic of Armenia. The main topic is "The  80th Anniversary of the Great Victory: Unity in the Protection of  Historical Memory for Future Generations". On the same day, the  Chairman of the Federation Council will take part in the Tenth  Russian-Armenian Interregional Forum.  Several heads of the   Federation's entities are expected to speak at the plenary session. 

The delegation of the Federation Assembly includes Deputy Chairman of  the Federation Council Yuri Vorobyov, Chairman of the Defense and  Security Committee Vladimir Bulavin, First Deputy Chairman of the  International Affairs Committee Vladimir Dzhabarov, Deputy Chairman  of the Social Policy Committee Yulia Lazutkina, Deputy Chairman of  the Committee on Federal Structure, Regional Policy, Local Government  and Northern Affairs Alexander Uss, member of the International  Affairs Committee Alexander Karelin, member of the Social Policy  Committee Andrei Chernyshev.
