ArmInfo.Armenian schoolchildren earned one silver and three bronze medals at the 19th International Asian-Pacific Online Olympiad in Informatics (APIO).
As reported by the press service of the Ministry of Education, Science, Culture and Sports (MOESCS of Armenia, more than 860 students from 36 countries participated in the Olympiad. The silver medal was awarded to Tsovak Yegoryan, a 12th-grade student from the Shahinyan Physics and Mathematics Specialized School. Bronze medals were awarded to Alex Grigoryan (11th grade, Quantum College), Martin Khachatryan (12th grade) and Tigran Matsakyan (10th grade), both from the Physics and Mathematics Specialized School named after Shahinyan. Armen Andreasyan and Samvel Andreasyan from YSU led the team.
According to the source, the prizes were awarded based on the top six performances from each country.
