ArmInfo. A complaint has been filed with the Corruption Prevention Commission regarding Nikol Pashinyan's statements about the church. Ara Zohrabyan, the rector of the Academy of Advocates of Armenia, shared this information on his Facebook page.
<The Commission is expected to initiate proceedings and issue a conclusion on the presence of a violation of the norms of conduct by Nikol Pashinyan, who holds the position of Prime Minister of the Republic of Armenia>, he emphasized.
Zohrabyan added that, while holding the post of the head of government, Nikol Pashinyan is obliged to adhere to the requirements of the Law <On Public Service>, namely: awareness of serving the public, loyalty to public interests, good manners and respect, and integrity and objectivity. Referring to Pashinyan's insults towards the Armenian Apostolic Church (AAC) and his biased attitude towards the Catholicos of All Armenians, the head of the Academy recalled that the relevant Law of the Republic of Armenia states that the Republic of Armenia recognizes the autonomy of the AAC within its jurisdiction.
