ArmInfo. The traditional and beloved by many festival of the author's song <Sail of Hope> will be held for the 11th time on the shores of Sevan.
This year the event will be held from July 18 to 20, as before, in the resort area of WishUp near the village of Shorzha in the Gegharkunik region. The guests of the festival will enjoy a two-day concert program, during which the winners of the selection rounds, representatives of the top ten performers from previous years, as well as already famous bards from Armenia and other countries, including Ukraine, Georgia, Belgium, Germany, Estonia, Israel, Latvia, Poland, Slovakia, Finland, the USA, Russia, Belarus, will perform.
As reported by the press service of the festival organizers, the Gala Concert will be held on July 19 and will end with a solemn ceremony of presenting certificates, letters of thanks and symbolic gifts.
According to the source, the festival is held in three stages. Initially, by June 15, singer-songwriters, as well as performers with their own interpretation of other authors' works, must apply for participation in the festival. The candidates who pass the preliminary selection will take part in the final concert of the selection round, which will be held on June 20 at the Metro Theater.
During this concert, the jury members will select the best, who will have the opportunity to take part in the Sevan stage of the festival. The accommodation and food expenses of the selected participants, as always, will be covered by the festival organizers.
The Sail of Hope festival has been held in Armenia since 2015 with the support of various organizations and companies, including the Ministry of Education, Science and Sports of the Republic of Armenia. The organizer of the festival is the cultural public organization Civil Art with the support of the Bards Club. The main goal of the festival is to identify emerging singer-songwriters and stimulate their creative activity, provide a stage, and create a cultural environment, ensuring communication between authors and lovers of author's songs of different generations.
