ArmInfo. Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan visited Yerevan State University to observe the progress of the laboratory capabilities development work.
The Prime Minister toured the Center for Optics and Photonics at the Institute of Physics of YSU. The re- equipment of the Center was funded by the Higher Education and Science Committee of the Republic of Armenia, the Innovation Competitiveness Fund and YSU. Particularly, the Prime Minister was shown various laboratories including the Laboratory of High-Speed Optics and Photonics named after Professor Levon Muradyan, the Laboratory of Photonics and Artificial Intelligence, the Laboratory of Optical Microsystems, the Laboratory of Advanced Functional Materials, the Laboratory of Optoelectronics and Photonics, and the Center for Semiconductor Devices and Nanotechnology at the Research Institute of Physics of YSU.
Additionally, the Prime Minister visited the newly established YSU Memorial Park dedicated to the heroes who lost their lives in the 44-day war. The Prime Minister paid his respects by laying flowers in their honor. Pashinyan also toured the laboratories at the YSU Faculty of Biology, including the Laboratory of Bacterial Metabolism, the Innovative Center for Microbial Biotechnology and Biofuels, and the Scientific Laboratory of Experimental Pathology and Cell Signal Transduction.
It was noted that YSU received scientific and laboratory equipment worth approximately 3 billion drams from the state budget in 2022-2024.
