ArmInfo. European Archaeology Days will be held in Armenia from June 13 to 15. As ArmInfo was informed by the press service of the Ministry of Education, Science, Culture and Sports (MECS) of Armenia, the program of events includes visits to excavations and research centers, exhibitions that are usually inaccessible to the general public, as well as meetings with archaeologists and restorers.
Additionally there will be trainings and walking tours organized. Participants will have the opportunity to take part in restoration work connected to the finds. In Armenia, institutions such as the Institute of Archeology and Ethnography of the National Academy of Sciences of Armenia, the Research Center for Historical and Cultural Heritage, the Service for the Protection of the Historical Environment and Historical and Cultural Museum-Reserves, the History Museum of Armenia, as well as the geological museums of Lori-Pambak, Dilijan, Gegharkunik and Shirak, the Erebuni Museum-Reserve and the Yerevan History Museum have joined in organizing the event.
