ArmInfo. The process of delimitation of the Armenian-Azerbaijani border has not stalled - working groups at the level of deputy prime ministers continue to work. Secretary of the Security Council of Armenia Armen Grigoryan told journalists during a briefing on May 29.
He recalled that the parties had previously reached an agreement to continue these works from the section located slightly below the point of intersection of the borders of Armenia, Georgia and Azerbaijan. <We are making efforts, trying to achieve results through negotiations so that the border delimitation work can move forward>, the Secretary of the Security Council said.
Armen Grigoryan pointed out that as a result of these works, 12.7 km of the border have been delimited and border troops are deployed there. <And only one incident has been recorded over the past five years >, he noted.
