RA NA speaker on Armenia`s expectations after signing of peace  agreement 

ArmInfo.  Not even 5 minutes will pass after the signing of the peace agreement, as trade between Armenians and Azerbaijanis will begin, they will begin to communicate in all ways. This statement was made by the speaker of the Armenian parliament Alen Simonyan on May 27 in a conversation with  journalists. Simonyan himself, for example, is ready to buy gas from  Baku.

<Even under the blockade of Karabakh (the blockade of Artsakh by  Azerbaijan began on December 12, 2022 and lasted until September 24,  2023 - ed.) trade was carried out. I will not name names, but some  representatives of Karabakh sold cognac, took money. Stop being in  the clouds>, - he said.

Touching on the Azerbaijani narrative about the so-called Western  Azerbaijan, Simonyan pointed out that there is no and cannot be a  Western Azerbaijan. At the same time, he decided to draw parallels  between these statements and the election of the new head of the  Artsakh parliament.

"Representatives of Karabakh declare that they are choosing a new  head of parliament, then make certain statements. Meanwhile, the  President of Azerbaijan says: "I will soon create Western Azerbaijan,  he responds in kind," Simonyan said. In his opinion, this narrative  is Baku's response, as is their statement that they should populate  Armenia with 300 thousand Azerbaijanis, "since we say that the  population of Karabakh should return to live in Azerbaijan."

He called for "leaving their Armenian planet," "stop living in their  own world, stop pretending that there is Armenia with its own book of  history, and all other nations do not matter."

"Do not destroy Armenia and its future. The people of Karabakh will  be able to return and live safely in their homes if there is such an  opportunity someday in the future," Alen Simonyan said.
