ArmInfo. Police officers of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Armenia have solved the theft of electronic cigarettes worth more than 2 million drams. One person has been detained in connection with this incident.
"Late in the evening of May 18, a security guard at a shopping center on Gai Avenue in the capital called the police and reported a theft from an electronic cigarette store. An operational team from the police department of the capital's Nor Nok administrative district left for the scene. It turned out that the intruder, using a technical device, broke into the store and stole electronic cigarettes worth 1.2 million drams. While the police were taking the necessary actions, another similar call was received on May 25. The lock of another store on Gai Avenue was broken and electronic cigarettes worth 1 million drams were stolen. This crime was also committed late in the evening, after dark. This time, the actions of law enforcement officers yielded quick results. It turned out that both thefts were committed by a 55-year-old man, a resident of the capital's Moldovakan Street.
On the morning of May 26, he was detained and taken to the Nor Nork police department. "The man and the documents drawn up were handed over to the preliminary investigation body, the circumstances are being clarified," the report says.
