President of Armenia receives China Seismological Administration head

ArmInfo.  The President of Armenia, Vahagn Khachaturyan, received a delegation from the China Seismological Administration  led by its director, Wang Kun.

As stated in the press release of the head of state, during the  meeting the interlocutors discussed the expansion of Armenian-Chinese  cooperation in  seismic safety and related areas. They attached  importance to the scientific and technical developments in   earthquake prediction and overall geophysical studies not only in  terms of seismology, but also economic, mining  and infrastructure  development.  The importance of data exchange,  joint scientific  projects and  professional training programs was underscored. Dr.  Kuhn noted that this was his first time in Armenia and added that he  was very impressed by the country and the activities of his Armenian  colleagues and the National Academy of Sciences.
